"The Reason" was recorded in June of 2013 in Nashville, Tennessee for My Hope to accompany Billy Graham's main 'My Hope America' program called 'The Cross'.
"The Reason" first premiered at a Rock The Lakes festival in 2011. Lyrically and sonically, the two versions - album and live - are quite different.
It is possibly the inspiration of the title for Sturm's first book, The Reason.
